Situated in Philack you are close to beaches, coastal walks and the towns of St Ives and Hayle. Walk out of the property and within a minute you will be on the 3-mile stretch of golden sands of Riviere Sands beach (St Ives Bay). Surrounded by cliffs and dunes with turquoise waters and fine golden sand the beach is suitable for everyone, it is also popular for windsurfing and kiteboarding. The beach has lifeguards during the summer season, a safe bathing area and a coffee shop at the entrance to the beach. Within a 3-mile radius area, there are a further 7 beaches to explore.
One mile away is the charming town of Hayle, rich in the industrial history of copper and tin it is home to the UNESCO World Heritage site, it is also home to Hayle Estuary Nature Reserve, where you will see a wide variety of wetland birds. You can walk the Hayle Estuary Trail and explore the Hayle Heritage Centre, for younger ones Paradise Park is a fun day out. You can catch the train or bus from here to St Ives, this picturesque fishing harbour and seaside town is bustling with activity as well as being home to one of the best beaches Porthminster. If you prefer culture try the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden and the Tate Gallery; there are also individual shops, pubs, cafés and restaurants - the town has a reputation as a food lovers’ destination.
After a busy day you don’t need to cook, a short walk from the apartment you, will find a local store selling fresh bread, croissants, tea, coffee and more, or perhaps a bottle of wine to be enjoyed on the terrace while watching the sun disappear over the horizon. For the more outgoing, a minutes’ walk will take you to the local pub which provides amazing views of the ocean at St Ives Bay and serves food daily including weekend roasts, drinks, and a children’s play area.
